Agora’s Open Science Approach

We believe that open sharing of research results, data, and tools accelerates scientific, social, and economic progress by:

  • Removing barriers to collaboration among research groups with different expertise and resources;

  • Motivating researchers and funders behind a common cause to advance the public good;

  • Reducing scientific redundancy and improving research efficiency;

  • Enabling other researchers to analyze scientific results and generate new insights;

  • Enhancing transparency, reproducibility, and public trust in scientific research; and

  • Enlarging the store of knowledge available to all as a template for the development of innovative products, services, and businesses.

Agora seeks to harness these benefits of open science to accelerate the discovery and development of affordable new medicines for significant unmet therapeutic needs. All of our research projects:

  • Openly disseminate scientific results and data to the public as quickly as possible;

  • Openly share research materials, reagents, and other tools with the scientific community; and

  • Do not patent any research outputs.
